Welcome to Eat Your Feelings, a relationship and sex advice newsletter where life’s problems are answered with food, recipes, and local restaurant recommendations
Please note: I am not a chef. I am not a therapist. And I’m hardly an armchair version of either of these things as I rarely follow a recipe (or my own advice.) So, if you need expert help, please consult a person with real credentials, but if you enjoy hot gossip from the lives of anonymous readers, and even hotter food recs to help ease the pain of this steaming trash pile of a world - subscribe, share, submit a question and read on.
Times are tough and our kitchens have become a safe haven of comfort and expression. Yes, we have a bit more time to cook, and the meals we have out or delivered in are even more special and memorable, but our relationships have also come to exist in a pressure cooker. Sex, love, dating, friendships, and work relationships are pushed to an extreme, and I believe that now, more than ever, in these unprecedented times, that cooking is healing, and eating – binging, gorging, snacking, – is the best way to face the woes of the world - mouth on.
Eat Your Feelings is a safe space to feel the feels and truly indulge. Think of it as chicken soup for the 2020 soul. Every other week I will answer three burning questions with a snack, a restaurant, and a full recipe - along with some unsolicited advice, stock photography, and many, many food puns. So sit back, subscribe, and let’s eat.
Love and butter,
Kate
